Titilayo Adeleye’s Book, ‘Become A Better You, Addresses Good Conduct

Become A Better You, an inspiring and informative book by Titilayo Olukorede Adeleye, emphasises the significance of etiquette, good communication skills and proper mannerisms.

The book also shares valuable and meaningful insights with the young and old on how to put their best foot forward.

According to Adeleye, Become A Better You is a self-help book with valuable tips on how to live a purposeful life, skills for leadership, and professional, personal and emotional development.

Adeleye, also the founder of The Eden Initiative, said her book covers etiquette and social conduct, the proper and acceptable way of interaction in a civil society.

She added: “The inspiration to write this book, ‘Become A Better You’, was borne out of my passion for seeing things done correctly.

“This inspiration was further fueled by observations and experiences gathered from interacting and working with people across all ages and all walks of life.”

While noting that emphasis is no longer placed on teaching proper conduct, appropriate behaviour and acceptable ways of interaction in our society.

Rather than whine and pout about the absence of knowledge of proper etiquette in our society, Adeleye deliberately highlighted ways to do things right, especially for the younger generation.

Thus, as a certified life coach, she outlined: “I have an intense passion for the impartation of leadership skills into the lives of the younger generation by mentoring them to fulfill their Godly purpose in life and ultimately seeing them mature to mentor others.

“This book is different from others because it presents the principles of etiquette, social polish and poise in a simple, easy-to-assimilate format.”

Her book sheds more light on the essential aspects of socially acceptable behaviour like communication, personal grooming, dining, dressing, speech and even financial and hospitality etiquette.

To budding authors, she says, “Let nothing stop you from expressing what God has put inside of them for the benefit of humanity.

“To bring this aspiration to life, they should engage in in-depth research about whatever topic they wish to write about, carve a niche for themselves, shun procrastination and ensure that they maintain good standards of production and publishing.”

Adeleye, however, acknowledged that there are books written several decades ago that society still benefits from.

“The descendants of the authors of such books are also still enjoying the inherent benefits decades afterwards,” she added.
