Nigerian Executive Ayo Adeyemi Advocates for Sustainable Development at UN High-Level Political Forum

Nigerian business executive and social impact strategist, Dr. Ayo David Adeyemi, has reaffirmed his commitment to sustainable development following his participation in the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) held from July 10th to 19th, 2023, at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Dr. Adeyemi, who serves as the Executive Director of PIPO Global Limited, described the forum as an “incredible gathering of minds and hearts” focused on addressing global challenges and paving the way for a more sustainable future. Discussions at the event emphasized the urgency of collective action to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

According to Dr. Adeyemi, key topics covered included climate action, social equity, biodiversity protection, and inclusive economic growth. He stressed the importance of every individual, organization, and government playing their role in making a positive impact.

The HLPF is the UN’s central platform for reviewing progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The 2023 edition gathered global leaders, policymakers, and sustainability advocates to discuss strategies for achieving the SDGs.
