Buhari Hosts Tinubu, Oshiomhole, Wamako, 15 Other APC Leaders to Ifstar Tuesday


* Invitees to undergo Covid-19 test before attending dinner

President Muhammadu Buhari will Tuesday evening host some leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) including presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; former National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole; and former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Mohammed Wammako, to Ifstar/breaking of fast.
The event billed for the State House conference hall by 6.30pm will be preceded by the invitees undergoing COVID-19 test by 6pm before gaining access to the venue.
The two-page letter entitled: ‘Breaking of Ramadan Fast’, addressed to the National Chairman of APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and dated April 22, 2022, said the Iftar dinner will start by 6:30pm.
According to the list of invitees sighted by THISDAY on Tuesday, those expected at the Iftar include former Lagos State Governor Tinubu; former National Chairmen of the APC, Dr John Oyegun and Adams Oshiomhole; former Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako; and former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba.

Others are the first interim chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande; former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu-Sheriff; former Zamfara State Governor, Ahmed Yarima; former Sokoto State Governor, Wamako; former Edo State Governor, Oserheimen Osunbor; former Yobe State Governor, Bukar Ibrahim; Major General Muhammed Magoro (rtd); Senators Lawal Shuaibu, Aba Aji, Tijjani Tumsah, Fati Bala, Abubakar Guru and Nasiru Danu. 

The letter, signed by the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, read in part: “I write to inform you that  President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that invitation be extended to the attached list of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress to join the President to break Ramadan fast on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 1830 hours in the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja. 
“In this regard, you are kindly requested to invite them to attend. The leaders are to arrive the Pilot Gate at 1630 hours for Rapid Covid-19 testing at the State House Conference Centre and be seated at the venue by 1800 hours.”
