Omokri Shortlisted as Africa’s Business Influencer of the Year

Reno Omokri, former presidential aide under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, has been shortlisted as Business Insider’s Business Influencer of the Year.


According to a post on the renowned publication’s website, the award honours an individual who has contributed thought-provoking content to the business community.


The award winner will be decided through votes. Voting for the Business Insider Africa Awards starts on March 21 and will close on April 3 via https://africa.businessinsider.com/awards/business-influencer-of-the-year/ydmv0wz
“One of the world’s biggest business publications, Business Insider, has nominated me, amongst others, for the Business Influencer of the Year Award,” said Omokri. “I urge all my followers and subscribers and everyone who has benefited from #RenosNuggets and my masterclasses to please vote for me.”


Other individuals nominated for the list are Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings; Vusi Thembekwayo, an entrepreneur; Dr. Ola Brown, co-founder of Flying Doctors Nigeria; and Victor Asemota, an entrepreneur.


Omokri is a bestselling author and human rights activist. Omokri is also the vice president of Joe Trippi and Associates, a US political consulting firm. He is also the founder of the Free Leah Sharibu movement, a media campaign advocating for the freedom of a Christian schoolgirl abducted from school by Boko Haram on February 19, 2018.
