DJ Irem$ Says DJ’s Important As Music Artistes

Disc jockeys (DJs) are important as music artistes because they are the live of any event, party or show. without a DJ, your show won’t be fun, DJ Irem$ said in a statement. According to him, “We can go on and on discussing the importance of the DJ. It’s sad that these set of people are not properly represented and recognized in this part of the world. Some big brands have endorsement deals with only a few DJ’s in the industry, which isn’t fair as it should be more.

 “When you have a unique choice of sound like Afrohouse, Afrobeat, Amapiano and GQom with the ability to make people happy with what you do, most importantly have fans that recognize and appreciates your craft.” He said further daid: “DJs don’t get much recognition and support as they are supposed to get; we play all the new songs, even artistes come to us to promote their songs at the club.

We are the reason most songs are popping today and it’s important for show organizers, award boards to look the way of the DJs.Samuel Enyi, aka Dj irem$, has got musical connections in Malaysia, United States of America, Europe, Dubai, South Africa, etc as he sees how things are done far away from the shores of Nigeria and wishes that same can be emulated here at home (Nigeria).

 He posits that every DJ has a unique style of sound and pattern these guys love what they do and that’s why they are doing it, same way the music artistes love what they do too.He stated further that DJs and artistes should be recognized equally even though the artistes or their record labels make more money than most DJs. 

He added that recognition will bring about growth and confidence and most importantly drive for the DJ’s to want to do more. DJ Irem$ having played for 2Baba, Falz, PSquare, Poco Lee, Fireboy DML, Olamide, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Zlatan, Flavor etc and the likes has got his onions right and wishes DJ’s will be more recognized in this part of the world just like in other countries.
