NYSC Board Chair Lauds Tambuwal for Renovating Camp

The Chairperson of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ambassador Fatima Abubakar has applauded the efforts of Sokoto State Governor, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for carrying out ongoing renovation work at Wamakko Permanent Orientation Camp in the state.
Abubakar made this known in a thank-you message sent to the governor, which was made available to journalists.
She said the ongoing renovation project was an effort to deliver a good face-lift to the camp.
She explained that the board under her leadership is repositioned to sustain enhanced quality service delivery to the scheme.
“I must commend the Governor of Sokoto State for this timely intervention despite meagre resources at his disposal,’ she added .
She further lauded the governor for giving attention to the camp, stressing that the “Governor had really done well particularly in the area of corps members’ welfare and safety.”.
“This government must be commended for their efforts in enhancing welfare and safety of corps members posted to the state”.
On the ongoing works done on the orientation camp, she stated that this was aftermath of appealed made to the governor during a courtesy call on him by the board members.
“We visited His Excellency the Governor of Sokoto State and appealed to him to help Renovate the camp , we were surprised that the Governor started the renovation immediately”.
She also enjoined other state governments to emulate Governor Tambuwal.
The place currently undergoing renovation includes, lecture halls , female hostels and the camp pavilion .
