The North-South Alliance group have revealed that it would be supporting former Chairman of Medical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa to become Nigeria’s next President, as the 2023 general elections draws nearer.

The group made this known yesterday, at a press conference held at its liaison office in Lagos State.

Addressing Journalist, the Group’s National Coordinator (South), Prof. Ukachukwu Anwuzie, represented by Pastor Kayode Jacobs, said the group found Ohuabunwa worthy of leading the country due to his competence, integrity, conscientiousness and excellence.

He said Ohuabunwa energed after a three months research by the group, for a better candidate, which eventually revealed he was better fit, as a detribalized Nigeria, of a good character, genuine and good leadership ability, worthy of a true Leader

“For all these years, we have been unfortunate to have pretenders as our drivers. Many of all those who have led us were brought up and encouraged to take leadership by persons who have their own agenda and targets.

“Our group, believing in one Nigeria, governed by unity, peace and justice, having discovered that all the agitations, distortions and disturbances we are experiencing are induced by leadership insincerity, insensitivity, incompetence and selfishness.”

He said it was on the above note that the group agreed that Nigeria needed a competent leader with integrity and conscientiousness to restore it on the path of progress and development.

“Talking about competence, integrity, conscientiousness and excellence, we are pleased to announce to you that following months of diligent search, we have Mazi Samuel Ohuabunwa, as a worthy candidate fit to take Nigeria out of the troubled waters and we are here recommending him to Nigerians.

“Let Nigerians examine, consider, adopt and support him to occupy the highest office in Nigeria come 2023.”

Anwuzie described Ohuabunwa as a bundle of talent, multi skilled, proven servant leader, successful entrepreneur, social worker, and a Nation builder.

He also said as a nation that truly need a break from the past and genuinely wants to defeat maladministration, poverty, hunger, unemployment, banditry and all forms of violent agaitators, it was high time Nigerians shifted ground from seeking tribal leadership that has failed the countrd, and move towards electing competence

“While we urge Nigerians to consider and embrace our nominee, Mazi Sam, we appeal to him to also consider seeking the ticket of one of the major political parties so that his presidency will be a reality.”
