Innocent Abu Becomes 26th President of Rotary Club Gowon Estate

Rotarian Innocent Abu has emerged the 26th President of Rotary Club of Gowon Estate, District 9110 Lagos Nigeria.

Abu is the Managing Director of Innostar Ventures, a logistics service company in Lagos affiliated with some international logistics organisations such as WIFFA, Olofamily and Jctrans. The firm is also a member of the Global Shipping and Logistics network.

Abu alongside other executives of the club will be inducted October 2, 2021, where his programmes and agenda will be unveiled.

The Rotary Club of Gowon Estate District 9110 Lagos is a member of Rotary International, a global organisation for professional, business men and women who are committed to practical application of the ideal of service both individually and collectively in communities .

Abu graduated from Lagos State University where he obtained a B.Sc in Business Administration. He possesses a Masters degree in Public and International Affairs (MPIA). He is a member of The Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and Institute of Professional Management and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMA-NIG).

He is a chartered member of Rotary Club of Igando and has served in various capacities in Rotary Club. He was a Project Chairman in 2012-2013, Club Administrator 2013-2014, Treasurer 2014-2015, Public Image Chair 2018-2019, Club Administrator 2019-2020 and President- elect 2020-2021.

He has attended numerous Rotary International conventions and programmes, forming networks and building relationships through service to humanity- which are mutually beneficial not only to his club, but to other clubs.

Outside Rotary, Abu has been a philanthropist while in school and afterwards. He has severally demonstrated passion for the less-privileged and indigent students as evident in his support for these ones over the years. He plans to set up a foundation for this cause very soon.
