Adedoyin Precious Abisola affectionately known as Most Precious was born into a family where music was not just a passion but a way of life as she believes that her upbringing paved way for her journey into the limelight. Reflecting on her early years, she reminisces about being immersed in various musical genres from a tender age, thanks to her father, a seasoned musician.
“Following him to shows, listening to various kinds of music. I was already directly or indirectly knowing how each genre works,” she fondly recalled.
With this early exposure the foundation for her innate understanding of vocal techniques tailored to different musical styles was birthed.
As she embarked on her own musical journey, she made it her mission to delve deep into each genre, studying its intricacies, and making it her own.
“I study each genre, I make it an assignment to understand it and then own it,” she explained. With her dedication to mastering diverse musical styles she has become a master at her performances, allowing her to connect with audiences across various musical tastes. Beyond her musical influences, she credited her eclectic lifestyle for shaping her artistic expression as she loves to explore which is what she infuses into her music.
This versatility enables her music to transcend boundaries and resonate with listeners from diverse backgrounds. Authenticity, she believes, is the key to her uniqueness as an artiste.
When it comes to performing, she emphasised the importance of understanding the theme of events and the mood of the audience as she attests that adapting her repertoire to suit the preferences of her audience ensures an engaging and memorable experience for all.
Abisola always ensure that her Action band is constantly reminded that versatility is not just about performing multiple genres but also about seamlessly transitioning between them which is why she keeps rehearsing to always ensure smooth transitions.
However, her unwavering dedication to her craft and the support of her band continues to fuel her determination to succeed.
Looking ahead, she saw endless possibilities for growth and innovation, saying, “Most Precious and the Action band is just sprouting.”
