THISDAY Reporter, Sunday Ehigiator, Others for Young Journalists Training  in Egypt

THISDAY Features correspondent, Sunday Ehigiator, alongside 19 other journalists across African countries have been shortlisted to attend the ‘58th Training Course for Young African Journalists’ scheduled from April 20 to May 9 in Cairo, Egypt.

In a statement issued by the Union of African Journalists (UAJ), the three weeks programme will take participants through a series of pertinent topics, ranging from politics and economy to other media related topics.

Additionally, the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), who conveyed the letter through its just retired Secretary, Shuaibu Usman Leman, congratulated Ehigiator for emerging from the wide pool of journalists in Nigeria and West Africa, to represent the country and the continent in Egypt.

The training course, which is organised in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Information, is also aimed at honing the skills of journalists and strengthening the art of storytelling for journalists across the continent.

Attendance at the event is said to cut across the five regional blocs of the African continental thus stimulating an even pace of development in the sector.

The course is billed to run from April 20 through May 9, 2024.
