Kogi CP Presents N39.04m to Families of the Deceased Officers

The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP. Bethrand  Onuoha, has  presented cheques worth N39,042,593.07 to the 25 families of deceased officers on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP. Kayode Egbetokun.

Onuoha, while presenting the cheques, disclosed that the gesture was part of the Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance Schemes aimed at improving the welfare of the families of deceased police officers and to also support police officers who became accident victims while carrying out their duty.

This is also to encourage other officers in active service to be diligent.

The commissioner further stated that the Nigeria Police Force recognised the sacrifices made by the deceased officers as well as those who are accident victims to secure the nation.

He urged the beneficiaries not to misuse the money but make judicious use of it for the betterment of their families.

The beneficiaries appreciated the IGP for the gestures and promised to make use of the money for the benefits of their families.
