Pomp as Lawmaker, Akpanke Celebrates Easter with Constituents in Obudu

The House of Representatives member representing Obudu/Bekwara/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Atianashie Akpanke, has celebrated Easter with thousands of his constituents in Obudu, the headquarters of the constituency, amidst pomp and circumstance. 

The fun seekers, who were delighted by the presence of the lawmaker, used the occasion to pour encomiums on Akpanke whom they described as a servant-leader.

While exalting the leadership qualities of Akpanke, they commended him for his numerous infrastructural and human developmental projects spread across the three local governments.

Responding, Akpanke charged his constituents to imbibe the lessons of sacrifice, perseverance, forgiveness and care for the less privileged which the Easter celebration symbolizes.

The lawmaker called on all to remain steadfast and look ahead with hope and determination while drawing inspiration from the enduring message of faith, perseverance, and unity embodied by Easter. 

He supported the event with consumables and cash donations. 

Similarly, Akpanke demonstrated his commitment to community engagement and solidarity by celebrating Easter with market women at Abochiche junction in Bekwarra Local Government Area.

The unplanned event was held in the heart of the community market, while Akpanke was on his way from an engagement in Ogoja.

He said: “I will always support market women because, they play a vital role in the local economy and social fabric.”

Akpanke then distributed some cash gifts in appreciation to the market women, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the economy.
