Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) has announced the commencement of a fresh season of Akpan and Oduma, one of the most-popular comedy skits in Nigeria, on television and YouTube as from March 18, 2024.
According to Wale Adenuga Jnr., the producer of Akpan and Oduma, in a statement, “With over 180 million views on YouTube, our Akpan & Oduma Comedy Series has proven to be a huge hit among the youths, as well as other generations of Nigerian audience members. We have worked relentlessly to go even bigger this time; hence, the storylines of this new season 9 are packed with lots of fresh surprises regarding the hilarious situations which the titular characters and their friends get involved with.”
“The award-winning Akpan & Oduma comedy skit series details the hysterical adventures of the two titular characters who have recently travelled from the village to the city in search of quick wealth.”
He said: This new season nine features several trending comedy content creators, including Mr. Macaroni, Motunde, Kiriku, Miz Gabbie (Flora 222), and others, as well as the regular supporting characters-Chief Olododo, Sister Bridget, Patoski, Brother Shangalo, and Omonla.
New episodes of Akpan & Oduma premiere every Monday on wapTVs YouTube platform ‘waptvchannel’, and air on television at 9:00 to 9:15am and 9:00 to 9:15pm on Mondays to Thursdays on wapTVs extensive network of DStv 262, StarTimes 116, GOtv 129, FreeTV 751, and PlayTV 275, as well as on the recently-launched wapTV Mobile App available for free on Apples iOS App Store and Androids Google Play Store.
