FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has assured residents of Kwali Area Council of his desire to complete the construction of the abandoned Kwali Township Stadium.

Wike gave the assurance yesterday while flagging-off the construction of 11 km Kwali-Sukuku-Abo road.

He also promised the residents that all abandoned projects in the area council inherited by his administration would be completed.

The 20,000 capacity sporting facility was awarded along side five others across the Six Area Councils of the territory under the administration of former  FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed aimed at the development of sporting activities at the grassroots.

He assured residents of the territory of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to improving their welfare through massive project provisions and job creation.

He also empathised with Kwali residents over the high cost of living being experienced at the moment, describing that the situation as temporary.

He vowed that no on-going or newly awarded projects under the current administration would be abandoned.
