FGC Odogbolu Alumni Renovates, Commissions School Clinic

The alumni of Federal Government College (FGC), Odogbolu, Class of 2000 has embarked on the renovation of the school’s clinic, as a way of ensuring the student’s welfare. 

The renovated clinic, which was commissioned on Thursday, November 16th, according to the members of the alumni, will impact the well-being of the children and staff of the institution.

Welcoming guests to the commissioning, Chairman, Project Committee, Roy Osuji, noted 

that the project was symbolic as it marked the very first of its kind for their set.

“Renovated with love and equipped with our hearts, we believe that this Project will impact the well-being of the children and staff physically, socially and mentally,” Osuji said.

Speaking, the  Chairman of the alumni, Adedapo Kukoyi, said that the commissioning marks a significant milestone in the school community’s growth and well-being as it celebrates the completion of the renovation project and commissioning of a revitalized school clinic.

“Education goes beyond academics; it’s about fostering an environment that nurtures our students’ development. Recognizing the importance of health in learning, we upgraded our school clinic to better serve the needs of students, faculty, and staff.

“This renovated clinic is a testament to our commitment to a safe and healthy learning environment. It symbolizes our dedication to recognizing that a healthy body and mind are essential for optimal learning and academic success,” he said.

He further expressed gratitude to everyone involved, from the College’s management and staff to the generous contributors and the Project Committee Chairman. 

“Your collective efforts have transformed the clinic to address students’ health and wellness needs. As we commission this clinic, let it be a beacon of health, a sanctuary for students to thrive academically and personally. May it provide comfort, healing, and support for all who enter its doors.

“Let’s take pride in this achievement and look forward to its positive impact on our school community. Together, let’s continue prioritizing the holistic well-being of our students as we nurture the next generation of leaders,” Kukoyi added. 

Welcoming the Alma Mater, the school’s Principal, Amos Akinpelu, expressed his gratitude for their commitment to the progress and development of the school.
