Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, NSA Arrive Supreme Court, as Hearing in Atiku, Obi, APM’s Appeals Begin Amidst Tight Security

The Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Labour Party’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, and chieftains of political parties have arrived the Supreme Court,  venue of the proceedings in the presidential election appeals.

The hearing of the appeals which is coming up at the apex court for the first time is taking place amidst tight security.

The appeals listed for hearing include that of Atiku Abubakar and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP); Mr Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) and the Allied People’s Movement (APM).

Specifically, the three appeals are seeking the setting aside of the judgment of the presidential election tribunal that affirmed the election of President Tinubu.

Besides, Atiku has filed an application seeking the leave of the court to bring in fresh and additional evidence of forgery allegations against Tinubu.

It is expected that the application would be taken first before the main appeals.
