The governing council of the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi in Nasarawa State said it was planning to create outreach centres to make tertiary healthcare services accessible to the grassroots.

Chairman of the governing board of the medical centre, Prince Sule Iko, disclose the plan to journalists in Lafia.

He said: “I am an advocate of the creation of several medical outreaches in the suburbs where people have difficulties accessing healthcare services so that we transfer tertiary healthcare services to such centres.

“The essence of the Keffi Medical Centre is to provide healthcare services to Nigerians in Keffi and Nasarawa State as a whole. All over the state, wherever you are, you should be enjoying the tertiary healthcare from the centre or any of the outreach.”
