‘Airtel’s 4G in Ibadan Will Drive Economic Growth’

ZTE Corporation, a global telecommunications equipment, networks and mobile devices company headquartered in Shenzhen, China, has partnered Airtel Nigeria to roll-out 4G LTE in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The roll-out was announced at an event in Ibadan recently, which was attended by several dignitaries and key opinion leaders including the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Adeyemo and Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of ZTE Nigeria Limited, Danny Zhang, said that the ensured a best in class deployment of 4G in Ibadan in line with its global best practices and assured that residents of Ibadan will enjoy a seamless and joyous mobile Internet experience courtesy of Airtel and ZTE.

He further noted that Airtel’s 4G deployment in Ibadan will help drive economic growth in the state.

The Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Segun Ogunsanya, said: “Airtel 4G will help drive growth, spread prosperity and empower the highly enterprising people of Ibadan to fulfill their potentials and realize their dreams.
