President Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday felicitated with Christians in Nigeria on this year’s commencement of Lenten season and charged them to pray for Nigerian unity.

According to a statement by his media adviser, Mr. Femi Adesina, Buhari said as Christians join their counterparts worldwide to emulate the worthy example of Jesus Christ who fasted for 40 days at the beginning of His earthly ministry, they should equally pray fervently for the country’s unity and progress this season.

Adesina said his principal believed that Nigeria’s existence as one united country was a divine arrangement and nothing should be done to balkanise it.

He also said the president enjoined all Nigerians to intensify love, brotherliness and concern for the less privileged members of their communities in order to strengthen the bond of togetherness.

“As Christians begin the period of increased prayers, piety, sacrifice and selfless services, the President wishes them and all Nigerians well,” Adesina added.

There is no unity to pray for. It is all about North take it all in this administration. The President Muhammadu Buhari supports nepotism, tribalism, favoritism, monopolism, terrorism and 97% against 5%. In fact he came to divide not to unite, has been against anything in favor of unity. It is time for him to evacuate the office his service is no longer needed with these types of his record..

As a citizen and Pastor, I have been praying and speaking at every opportunity, that, our nation Nigeria be governed by genuine, sincere leaders who will not compromise. We do’t need cultists, ritual killers, thieves, bigots, and religious extremists as leaders. Each one of them contesting must be screened for any past evil dealings – moral, spiritual, financial etc. Each winner should also use their traditional gods, in addition to the Holy Books (if applicable) for their swearing in.
