In furtherance of the vision and in line with her 2017/2018 season’s objective, the FCBESCOLA,  Lagos,  launched  a  new  campus at the Children  international School, Lekki, during to cater for the talents that abound in the axis.
The management of the school revealed that the FCBESCOLA facility in Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, remains her parent campus because she is poised to expand beyond Nigeria since she is the first in sub-Saharan Africa. Leslie Oghomienor, Chairman Blaugrana Group International, the promoters of the prestigious academy, in his address to the gathering, revealed that children International School, was chosen from a pack of very good schools to play host to the global brand after a holistic assessment, ranging from vision, objectives, management, leadership style, staff attitude and quality, environment, facilities, health, security,  and  safety  among  others.  The  school  is  well  grounded  in teaching  endurable  leadership  values,  character  building,  developing  and growing stars in various sports, judging from many local and international laurels it has won.
He expressed his conviction that the partnership would fast track growth for both institutions, noting that the next Messi or Neymar might come from Children International School, Lagos.
‘After a thorough assessment, in consonance with our standards, values, and mode of operation, we were absolutely convinced that there was no other place to pitch our tent but here. A child can’t be trained here and remain the same. It is impossible. We are here to make a difference by adding immense value to what the school is noted for in favour of our focus of the season,’ he stated.
In his speech, Mark McLuckie, Head, Children International School, expressed the management’s overwhelming excitement to be a part of an institution that is strongly passionate, about raising a new generation of leaders, using the school as a training ground. ‘The FCBESCOLA model of excellence is what we cannot ignore, because it fits into our culture and traditions. Deji Tinubu, Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission, in his remark said, that FCBESCOLA and Children International  School are two great brands coming together to grow new generation of leaders that will make the country proud in their chosen fields of human endeavors. I make bold to say that FCBESCOLA Lagos, is the first and only full fledge, all season Soccer Academy in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the vision that will outlived us. Therefore, giving the project, our full backing is for our own collective interest. We must not relent in supporting this novel idea,’ he said.
The FCBESCOLA/Children International School facilities can be compared with first class well equipped international standard facility, he further explained. However, trial sessions for the  remaining vacant positions for  the Elite 96Scholarship Project,  has  since  begun  at  the  Island  Campus,  Interested candidates between the  ages of six and 18 can still apply.
The project offers full scholarship  for  gifted  talents  who  have  successfully  gone  through rigorous, physical and technical test.
