The 33rd Passing-out Platoon of the Nigerian Military School Zaria held its 25th Anniversary commemoration in Lagos on September 2 to 4. Members flew in from around the world for a weekend which included a welcome party, an ‘All White’ beach party supported by JP Chenet Ice at POP Beach and black-tie dinner at the Medici restaurant. The anniversary was chaired by Brig-Gen Bossman, who taught these men 30 years ago, as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. He had a positive message for the gentlemen, encouraging them to impact the nation positively.

The gentlemen raised N1.5m to purchase 100 chairs and desks for their alma mater and also embarked on a ‘Book Drive’ to aid the newly refurbished school library. The weekend ended with an afternoon of go cart racing at the Lekki Get-Arena before members began travelling back to their bases. It was truly a weekend of celebration some members had not seen one another for 25years, as it gathered men in the military, doctors, lawyers, accountants, engineers, entrepreneur etc. The weekend included health and Business sessions moderated by Dr. Chidi Molokwu (a UK-based medical doctor) and Mr. Uyi Ogbeifun of Total Nigeria.
