The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola on Monday said repeated sabotage of petroleum pipelines in the south was regrettable. He also said the impact was far-reaching.

Fashola said in his remarks during the signing of agreements between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and three electricity distribution companies (Discos) for the provision of $9 million grant annually to upgrade their performances.

The grant will see the Discos – Abuja, Ibadan and Eko – have embedded advisors work with them to improve their operational performances.

The three Discos signed the agreement in Abuja with the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr.James Entwistle.
