Nigerian Model, Somto Nnoruga Embarks on a New Journey at Misters of Nigeria 2025

Somto Alexander Nnoruga, a Lagos-raised model from Anambra state, is stepping into new territory as he takes on the Misters of Nigeria 2025 competition. With years of experience in the fashion industry, he has worked with major brands such as Tecno Mobile, Octa FX and more, earning recognition for his versatility and uniqueness. But there’s more to him than just modeling, he is also an interior designer with his own business and an aspiring professional footballer. Now, as he joins this prestigious competition, Somto hopes to challenge himself in new ways and use his platform for something bigger than himself.

Speaking about his decision to enter Misters of Nigeria, Somto admitted that pageantry wasn’t something he had previously considered. However, after learning more about this particular competition, he was drawn to the real impact it has beyond just the glitz and glamour.

“I never really thought about joining a pageant before, but when I came across Misters of Nigeria, I saw just how much it stood for. It’s beyond just looking good, it’s about purpose, influence, and making substantial difference. Seeing past contestants use this platform to create real impact inspired me to take this leap,” he shared.

Misters of Nigeria has quickly become one of the country’s most respected male pageants, blending fashion, leadership, and true advocacy. More than just a competition, it provides young men with opportunities to develop their skills, amplify important causes, and represent Nigeria on the global stage. The pageant has already made history, with its 2024 representative, Samuel Nwajagu, becoming the first African to win the prestigious Mister International title. This milestone has cemented Nigeria’s place in the world of male pageantry and further raised the stakes for future contestants.

Beyond modeling and entrepreneurship, Somto is deeply passionate about addressing Nigeria’s housing crisis. His “Build Together” project is an initiative focused on creating solutions to improve access to housing, drawing from his background in interior design and Building Engineering.

“Having a space to call home is something so many people struggle with, and I’ve always believed that our environment plays a huge role in our well-being. Through Build Together, I want to create a movement where people come together to find solutions, because one person alone can’t fix a problem this big. It’s the work of a community. We have to build together,” he explained.

This year’s Misters of Nigeria competition has unveiled its 37 contestants, each representing one of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Somto will be competing under the banner of Abia state, bringing with him a strong sense of purpose and determination.

As the competition unfolds, Somto sees this journey as more than just a title chase. It’s an opportunity for growth, for pushing boundaries, and for using his voice to make a difference. Whether on the runway, in business, or on the football field, his story is one of ambition, resilience, and a desire to create lasting impact.

With Misters of Nigeria 2025 on the horizon, all eyes are on the contestants who will showcase not just their charisma, but their drive to make a difference. For Somto Nnoruga, this is just the beginning of a new chapter.
