Yet Another Honour for Creative Industry Leader, Idris Olorunnimbe

Oniru of Iru-land, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, has announced the conferment of the prestigious title of Asoju Oba of Iru Kingdom on Idris Olorunnimbe, Group Chief Executive of The Temple Company.

The ceremony will take place at the palace on June 14 as part of the celebrations marking the monarch’s fifth anniversary and peaceful reign.

Olorunnimbe is among seven distinguished personalities carefully selected to be honoured for their exemplary service to humanity and professional excellence.

In the official letter of nomination signed by Hakeem Akintoye, Private Secretary to His Royal Majesty, the palace noted that “the honour is the culmination of a rigorous selection process predicated on your remarkable accomplishment, personal distinction and exemplary service to the community.”

Responding to the announcement, Olorunnimbe expressed his gratitude: “I am deeply honoured by this recognition and remain grateful to His Royal Majesty and the Oniru-in-Council for finding me worthy of such a prestigious title. This honour not only represents a personal milestone but also serves as a reminder of my continued commitment to the development and welfare of our community.”

Under Olorunnimbe’s leadership, The Temple Company has emerged as a beacon of African excellence in the entertainment landscape since its inception nine years ago. The organisation has consistently elevated industry standards through its comprehensive services in talent management, production, and events. Its state-of-the-art creative hub, Ogidi Studios, has gained international recognition and currently serves as a preferred facility for major productions, including Marvel Studios’ Black Panther franchise.

This recognition follows recent accolades for Olorunnimbe, including his listing among Top Charts Africa’s 100 Most Influential Africans and an award from the Queen of Ibile Pageant for his contributions to Lagos State’s growth and heritage.
