Taeps Animation Studios CEO, Adeoyin Okuboyejo Speaks on Building Resilient Start-ups at YALI Tech Summit

Adeoyin Okuboyejo, the dynamic CEO of Taeps Animation Studios, captivated the audience with his insights on building resilient start-ups at the YALI Network Lagos Youth Tech Summit.

The event, organized by the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and supported by the US Consulate, American Corner, and ALX Nigeria, brought together industry experts to discuss the theme “Innovating for Africa; Empowering the Future Through Technology.”

The summit was held at the American Corner in Lagos and aimed to inspire and equip young African entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the challenges of the modern tech and entrepreneurial landscape. The panel discussion featuring Adeoyin Okuboyejo was a highlight of the event, providing a platform for sharing valuable experiences and strategies for fostering start-up resilience in Africa.

In addition to Okuboyejo, the panel featured several experts who brought a wealth of knowledge from various sectors of the tech industry.

Okuboyejo began by sharing his journey with Taeps Animation Studios, detailing how he transformed a small animation studio into a leading production house known for its innovative projects like the award-nominated short film “Èwà”. His narrative buttressed the importance of passion, hard work, perseverance, and adaptability in building a resilient start-up.

Okuboyejo emphasized, “It is important for start-ups to remain adaptable in the face of rapid technological changes. Building strong networks with other start-ups, industry leaders, and educational institutions is vital. I cannot over-emphasize the role of mentorship in guiding young entrepreneurs. Also, you need to know that challenges are a part of the entrepreneurial journey.”
