Meet Kingsley Okorie, Emmanuel Dibie, Two Nigerian Blazing the Trail in Information Technology sector in the EU

Kingsley Okorie obtained his degree in Biochemistry from Abia State University Nigeria and eventually attended Business School in Germany. He has been in the IT Industry in the past 15 years and have worked notably with Top Nigerian companies like Internet Solutions limited and Interswitch Nigeria limited, where he was one of the pioneers of their support centre.

He eventually moved to work with Sage Software limited as an International Consultant to introduce their
unique software products to the West African market. At Sage, he led presales activities, worked with the Research and Development team to design and tailor product features to the west African market needs, and also was responsible for overseeing troubled projects and ensuring partners were adequately trained.

Subsequently during the time of Ebola crisis, he was hired at E-Health Systems Africa where he was the driving force to design and build an entire business process across four(4) country offices in Africa to automate the entire organization thereby empowering them to operate efficiently.

In 2018 he moved to Germany and has since worked for companies like Ernst and Young; Canopy Growth Corporation and Aquila Capital GmbH in functions where he built digital products, optimized processes and strategized with C-Level Executives on digital transformation projects.

He has travelled to over 20 countries to work on various international projects. Currently he works with TenneT GmbH, a major Energy company in Europe, and is responsible for helping to transition their corporate digital processes between two countries in Europe.
He holds various Professional Certifications in Cisco, 14 Product Certifications in Sage Software, ITIL V4 Foundation and Intermediate(CDS), as well as in Project
Management.

As a way to give back to the society, he serves as mentors to over 40 Nigerianprofessionals globally. For this accomplishment and feat, He received the prestigious award Excellence in IT Operations Management from the African Advancement forum Hall of Fame in 2023.
Emmanuel Dibie on the other hand obtained a BSc in Computer Science at University of Benin, Nigeria before starting his career as an IT consultant where he pioneered a department-wide digitization of documentation and processes. He worked with Energy and Engineering Technology Consulting Ltd Consulting, in Lagos to drive organizational efficiencies through business analysis, automation of various processes and facilitation of training to users. This resulted in the
successful development and on-boarding of reporting & budgeting tools for the
NAPIMS JV Oil Division in NNPC and a budget reconciliation tool for the NAPIMS
Gas Division in NNPC.

In 2016 he moved to Germany and acquired MSc, Information Engineering – Majoring in Business IT Management at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. This quickly earned him a position at Volkswagen AG, where he researched and built a conceptual model for driving behaviour and classification to support processes in other services such as insurance analytic and predictive maintenance. He then
went on to work for Lufthansa as an IT Business Analyst to deliver on a project that delivered an efficient flight path for cargo, reducing time of delivery, and saving air pollution. He also worked on monitoring air cargo with IOT technology.

It didn’t take long for the next opportunity to call on him at TenneT GmbH. He has been working with this European energy giant in various roles for the past four years to support service delivery, analyse business processes, advise on various optimization measures and coordinate migrations from on-premise to cloud
services.

Having over 10 years’ experience in the IT industry, Emmanuel is a certified Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified SAFe 5 Agilist, Certified Business Analysis Professional, Certified SAP Certified Application Associate Modelling and Data Management, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP 11g), Certified ITIL 4 Foundation – Just to mention a few. This core skills in the tech sector has positioned him in his current role as a Cloud Solutions Manager, where he also helps to drive digital strategies at corporate level. For this
accomplishment , He also did receive the prestigious award Excellence in IT Service Management from the African Advancement forum Hall of Fame in 2023.

These Nigerians are both part of the European Champions Alliance (ECA) an organization of professionals committed to promoting European Technology and Values. They are also members of the Forbes Black community as well as the Black in Technology Foundation – a group for elite professionals who hold a mark in the Technology sector worldwide.
