In its bid to confront banditry and other forms of security challenges plaguing the state, the Niger State Government has taken delivery of some bulletproof vehicles.

The vehicles would be distributed to the police and other security organisations across the state.

The state Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, who received the first batch of the vehicles at the Government House yesterday, expressed the determination of the administration to bring to their knees all forms of terrorism, banditry and other forms of criminalities.

Bago expressed the hope that the acquisition of the vehicles would further consolidate on the administration’s  efforts to secure the state from bandits and other criminal elements.

The governor disclosed that “peace guarantees development,” assuring the people that the  administration will stop at nothing until peace is restored in all parts of the state.

Bago did not give the cost of the vehicles and the number purchased, but disclosed that other security gadgets would also be purchased by the government.
