APC Removes Uzodinma, Picks Otu as Chair of Edu Guber Primary

The Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, has been removed as the Chairman of the seven-man Committee to conclude the February 22, 2024 All Progressives Congress governorship primary election in Edo State. 

According to a document signed by the APC National Organizing Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu will serve as the chairman of the Primary Election Committee. 

Recall that the primary election held on 17th February in Edo State had  three candidates claiming to be flagbearer 

Also recall that the National Working Committee of the party yesterday at an emergency meeting to consider the report on the election resolved that the election was inconclusive and had fixed Thursday February 22, for the completion of the process. 

Other members of the committee are : Shettima Shehu, Former Osun state deputy governor, Mrs Titilayo Laoye-Tomori,  APC’s flagbearer in Plateau State 2023 governorship election, Nentanwe Yilwatde Goshwe,  Umar Musa,  Lawan Garba and Rabiu Suleiman. 

The members of the Edo State gubernatorial Primary Election Appeal Committee are Barr. C.C Udenwa as chairman, Muhammad Zakaria Sarina, Udogu Anthony Chijoke,  Muhammad Garin Ali and Yunusa Mohammed, among others.
