Enugu IPAC Elects New Leadership

The Enugu State Chapter of the Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Thursday, elected new leadership that will pilot the affairs of the political group with Obioma Nnamani of the BOOT party emerging the Chairman.

The electoral committee chairman and the returning officer, Ogbonna Uchechukwu, who briefed newsmen after the conduct of the election said, “We’re here and happy to inform the world that we have completed the assignment given to us by the National Leadership of IPAC with respect to the conduct of Enugu election.

“I can confirm that the election was held at the Enugu office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which is the stipulated venue for the election in accordance with the guideline of IPAC.

“After the election, which was monitored by INEC, in the presence of security agencies, the following persons emerged as the new executives of IPAC in Enugu State:

“Obioma Nnamani of BOOT party emerged as the Chairman, Elvis Cajethan China-Zamugwoke of ZLP is the Deputy Chairman, Afamefuna Samuel of the APP emerged the Secretary, while Aliyu Adamu Muhammad of NNPP is the Deputy Secretary.

“Others are Chukwuma Stella Nneamaka of ADC, who was elected the Financial Secretary, Ezeah Magnus of SDP is the Treasurer, Ikeh Kenneth Odoh of APM is the Organising Secretary, Ugwu Chiedozie Louis of NRM is the Publicity Secretary, and Augustine Nnamani of PDP is the Legal Adviser.”

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Obioma Nnamani, expressed happiness over his emergence and thanked the national leadership of IPAC, INEC and the security agencies for supporting the conduct of a peaceful the election.

He assured that they would work for the deepening of the nation’s democracy and also bring together all aggrieved parties to chart for a way forward for IPAC in the state.

“I appreciate the national executive of IPAC that were present to conduct the election in a free fair and credible manner. I also appreciate all the relevant agencies, including the INEC who made available their facility for the conduct of the election.

“I commend all the stakeholders that made my emergence possible,” he stated.

He also promised that IPAC under his leadership would work for the interest all members.
