Bago Meets IBB over National, State Issues

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has met with former military president General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his Minna uphill residence, over issues bordering on national and state concerns.


The meeting was, however, held behind closed doors.
But a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Bago, Bologi Ibrahim said the former military president and the governor discussed matters   bordering on state and national issues.


According to the statement, the governor seized the opportunity of the visit to seek “the wise counsel and fatherly advice  of the former military president.”
Bologi quoted the Governor as saying after the visit, his administration would continue to tap from the wealth of experience of the elder statesman for the overall benefit of the people.”


After the visit, according to the statement, Bago inspected  ongoing construction and reconstruction works at the three Arms Zone to ascertain the level of progress attained.


“Bago also stopped over at the construction site of the IBB University Teaching Hospital, where he reportedly  commended the workers for being on their toes in carrying out the job.


Bago called on the Youths to take advantage of the ongoing projects in the state to make legitimate money for themselves.
