Firm Unveils International Summit, Awards for Professionals

As part of efforts to facilitate regular high-level conversations, knowledge sharing, professional networking, as well as building a formidable ecosystem for professionals going to study abroad, Laprinxo Consult, is set to hold the maiden The InterNational Education (TINE) Africa summit and awards.

The programme with the theme ‘Thinking Ahead: Envisioning the Future of International Education in Sub-Saharan Africa’, will hold on 

December 7 and 8, at the. Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Programme Coordinator, TINE Africa Summit and  Awards, Louis Adekola, in a statement, explained that TINE Africa summit provides a unique opportunity for participants to build strong networks with potential partners and stay informed about industry verities.

He stated that for the awards 2,469 nominations were received for 21 categories, but 19 awards would be presented in total, including 18 voting categories and the highly coveted TINE Africa Lifetime Achievement award.

“This award is presented to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the international education industry in Africa and continues to be a source of inspiration to people both within and outside of the continent,” he stated.

Some expected speakers at the summit will include international officers of universities in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, United States, among others, as well as directors of reputable study abroad agencies from Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. Representatives of embassies, airlines, and financial institutions are also expected at the programme.

Adekola noted that stakeholders will also be involved in the important process of co-creating a future for international education within the region, while also celebrating excellence within the sector. 

“On one hand, TINE Africa summit brings professionals, firms, institutions, and other stakeholders in the international education sector in Africa together to learn, share, collaborate, and co-create. TINE Africa awards, on the other hand, seeks to spotlight and recognise the incredible works of these industry experts and their firms/institutions in supporting African students in their overseas education pursuits.”
