The Bet9ja Foundation’s Young Executive Programme (YEP) has reiterated its unwavering commitment to empowering the Nigerian youths to achieve their potential.
This commitment was reinforced at a recently concluded two-day intensive
training event across Lagos, Abuja, Enugu and Benin leaving a lasting impact on the lives of young adults in the country.
Trustee/Vice-President, Bet9ja Foundation, Ada Cuomo, said the foundation’s vision for YEP was to serve as a push for meaningful change, aiming to equip young talents with skills that not only ensure success in the current job market but also contribute to building a future with fewer unemployed Nigerian youths.
According to him, the programme’s transformative influence on participating youths is evident in their enhanced skills and expanded knowledge, setting them on a trajectory for success in the competitive job market.
Cuomo said beyond individual growth, YEP contributes significantly to Nigeria’s economic landscape by nurturing a pool of skilled and motivated young professionals.
He told THISDAY: “As these empowered individuals enter various sectors, they facilitate innovation and productivity, fostering a positive ripple effect on the nation’s overall economic development.
“The YEP is just one example of our dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities in the regions we serve.
“This was a transformative journey, aimed at equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge for success in today’s competitive job market, which was implemented across four locations, welcoming speakers and enthusiastic young talents.”
Notable speakers from diverse professional backgrounds graced the foundation’s events in October and November, delivering impactful insights to aspire talents across the country.
In Lagos, the Head of Sales at Mango Asset Management, Raymond Adeyemi, as well as
Partner at Sawubona Advisory & Climate Policy & Strategy Consultant, Obinna Igwebuike, shared invaluable experiences to inspire the young participants.
Also, the Abuja outing featured speakers including the Managing Director/Chief Executive, Aboki Africa, Cynthia Chisom, and a social media strategist, Lawal Karimah.
In Enugu, Google digital skills trainer, Williams Adelegan and Partner, Africa Strategy Advisers, Brainerd Odiete, inspired the young talents.
Similarly, the Benin event featured speakers including Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Governor, Stephen Osawaru.
Cuomo emphasised that their collective expertise enriched the YEP experience, leaving a lasting impact on the participants’ career development and skills enhancement.
