‘Before 30’ Returns, Promises Interesting, Relatable Experiences

“Before  30”, a television series ended after the original production’s release. That was eight years back. Viewer were left very eager. What happened to Before 30? Was the show scrapped? 

Well, it has been confirmed that lovers of the darling ‘Before 30’ show can put their minds to rest as their favourite cast of the film are currently on set for the production of its first sequel. 

The sequel, “After 30” will launch soon on Amazon Prime Video streaming service, much to the delight of “Before 30” fans, although a formal release date has not yet been confirmed. Damilola Adegbite, Anne Icha, Meg Otanwa, and Beverly Naya, who played a close-knit group of four friends in the 2015 hit film “Before 30,” are back for the production of ‘After 30’.

Confirming the news, cinematographer Ola Cardoso, who shared a teaser trailer with the four major cast members revealed the sequel promises to give its audience more interesting stories and relatable experiences as fans eagerly await further details.

In his caption, he expressed enthusiasm about their return after eight years and hinted at exciting updates on the way. ‘Before 30’ is a drama series that examines the lives of four women living in Lagos and the pressures they face to be married before the age of 30. 

After reaching the age of 30, the lives of these four contemporary ladies living in Lagos are picked up in the sequel.

 It’s also revealed that the writer and director of “Before 30”, Bodunrin Sasore, will step aside of the sequel, which is a major departure from the original production. Instead, Momo Spaine is in charge of directing this time.

The eight-part Omorinsojo Akinnola-produced television series debuted on DSTV’s African Magic channel on March 29, 2015. OC Ukeje, Late Karibi Fubara, Tina Mba, Gideon Okeke, Patrick Diabuah, Zainab Balogun, Tunbosun Aiyedehin, Vimbai Mutinhiri, and Kenneth Okoli were all part of the impressive cast.
