Police Rescue Kidnapped Medical Doctor

Operatives of the Joint Security Task Force code-named Operation Zenda have rescued Resident Doctor, Ukum General Hospital, Dr. Asema Msuega from the den of his abductors.

Msuega was kidnapped on his way for a medical outreach between Zaki Biam to Ayati axis in Ukum Local Government Area, Benue State. He was in captivity for 33 days.

At a session with journalists yesterday, the Commander of Operation Zenda, Justin Gberindyer Justin explained that the resident doctor of Ukum general hospital was abandoned by the captors in the buses around Ayati village in Ukum LGA of Benue State

Briefing newsmen at the crime scene, the state commander of operations Zenda/JTF, Mr. Justin Gberindyer explained how combined security team to track and arrest the abductors of the resident doctor.

 Gberindyer, a Chief Superintendent of Police, noted that the operatives were drawn from Operations Zenda, Ukum Division and operation Whirl Stroke

According to him, when the security operatives were closing in on the hideout of the kidnappers around Ayati/imade Adamu shitile border axis, Ukum LGA, Benue State they abandoned their victims in bus

From the vehicle, the commander noted that Msuega was rescued unhurt and had immediately reunited with his family and loved ones.

Gberindyer assured residents of absolute peace with a promise that crime must be reduced to its minimum, promising that operations Zenda JTF tactical team would never rest on protecting lives and properties of the Benue populace.
