Breaking: Senate in Rowdy Session, Steps down Keyamo’s Screening

*Goes into closed-door session

A motion to step down the screening of the Ministerial Nominee from Delta State, Festus Keyamo (SAN), caused a serious uproar in the red chamber on Monday.

The motion was moved by the Labour Party Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Darlington Nwokocha, and seconded by the All Progressives Grand Alliance Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe.

The President of the Senate put the motion to vote and the response divided the senators which led to a serious shouting match in the chamber.

The Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, then moved the motion that the Senate should discuss the matter behind closed doors

The Sergeant-at-arms led Keyamo out of the chamber to enable the lawmakers determine his fate at close session.
