557 Jigawa Pilgrims Survive Emergency Landing at Kano Airport

About five hundred and fifty-seven intending pilgrims from Jigawa state, yesterday, survived an emergency landing at the Kano International Airport after the plane took off to Saudi Arabia.

The passengers aboard a Max Air plane had an emergency landing in Kano International Airport, as a result of lightning.

The Boeing 747 aircraft that departed the Dutse airport had to discontinue the journey to Saudi Arabia, when it was struck by lightning which affected the noose of the plane.

The aircraft with registration number: Max B747-HMM, had 21 crew members departed Dutse International Airport at about 4.45 pm. No official statement from the management of Jigawa State pilgrims or Max Air as of the time of filling this story.

Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, had urged intending pilgrims to pray for peace and progress in the state, while reminding the intending pilgrims that they were few who were selected by almighty God among many that have a dream to visit the holy land.

 Also, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Umar Labbo, said the board had concluded all necessary arrangements for the transportation of the remaining pilgrims, saying the first batch of the pilgrims were from 16 local government areas of the state.
