A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Edo State, Mr. John Mayaki, has said  the clash between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the G-5 governors of the party, was the catalyst that propelled Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to victory

Mayaki also noted that the bitter row, which saw the departure of Peter Obi, PDP Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 contest, to the Labour Party as another added advantage to the victory of APC in the just-concluded presidential election.

Mayaki stated this in a short interactive session with journalists in Benin City, yesterday, while x-raying the presidential contest and some of the undercurrents that played out.

According to him, everyone witnessed the bitter row that saw the departure of Peter Obi, who was PDP vice presidential candidate before the open rebellion of five governors elected on the PDP platform known as G-5 cleared the path to the presidency for the APC candidate.
