The House of Representatives has approved direct and indirect primary clauses as a mode of electing candidates by political parties in elections.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari withheld his assent to the bill transmitted to him by the National Assembly, citing the issues with direct primary provision.
Reconsidering the bill in the Committee of the Whole, the lawmakers unanimously adopted the amendments.
