Igbawase Ukumba in Lafia
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly yesterday screened and confirmed all the 14 commissioner-nominees sent to it by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Sule had on December 9, 2021, submitted a list of 14 commissioner nominees to the state assembly for confirmation as members of the state executive council.
Consequently, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, announced the confirmation of the 14 commissioner nominees after their screening yesterday in Lafia.
Earlier, the House Majority Leader, Hon Tanko Tunga, had moved a motion for confirmation of the commissioner nominees which was seconded by the House Minority Leader, Hon Abel Bala.
The House, therefore, unanimously confirmed all the 14 commissioner nominees submitted to it by the Nasarawa governor.
The speaker then directed the clerk of the House to communicate the House resolution to Governor Sule for his further necessary action.
