Nasarawa Assembly Approves Appointment of Five More Special Advisers

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly yesterday granted a request made to it by Governor Abdullahi Sule to enable him (Sule) appoint five additional Special Advisers in his administration.

The House Speaker, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, announced the House approval to the governor’s request during sitting of the House in Lafia.

The speaker justified that the additional Special Advisers approved by the House for Governor Sule was to assist the governor in the task of providing dividends of democracy to the people.

“This House has accordingly approved that Governor Sule should appoint additional five Special Advisers in his cabinet,” the speaker said.

Consequently, Balarabe-Abdullahi directed clerk of the House to produce a clean copy of the House resolution for the Governor’s further necessary action.

It would be recalled that in 2019, the House approved Governor Sule’s request to appoint 15 Special Advisers, hence with the development, the Governor can appoint up to 20 special advisers
