Kellogg’s Scholarships for Children on World Breakfast Day

In commemoration of the 2021 World Breakfast Day, cereal brand, Kellogg’s has announced the 3rd edition of its annual education-support scheme – Kellogg’s Super Stars Scholarship.

The firm made the announcement at an event in Lagos where it hosted mothers as part of the Breakfast Day celebration. World Breakfast Day is observed every 26th September to appreciate and encourage the habit of having a healthy breakfast.

According to the organisation, the Kellogg’s Superstars scholarship comes as a reward from participating in an essay writing competition.

It is designed for primary school pupils to sharpen their creative writing skills while also bringing out the imaginative uniqueness in them.

Students who perform excellently in the essay competition will be awarded prize money to pursue their education.

Declaring the scholarship open, Kellogg’s Brand Ambassador and Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele commended the brand for nourishing the taste of Nigerian children and also supporting their dreams.

Akindele urged mothers to endeavour to sustain breakfast routine and encouraged children to participate in the contest to qualify them for the scholarship scheme.

Also speaking, Head of Marketing, Kellogg’s Tolaram, Neha Sharma said, “As the entry portal for Kellogg’s Superstars scholarship 3.0 has been formally declared open, we are proud to equally announce that trail on past winners revealed that they have remained motivated by the scholarship awards which is evidently reflecting on their individual academic performance.

“For this year’s edition, children between ages 5-12 years are to visit Kellogg’s website and submit essay on “how they want their perfect morning to be”. The judging criteria are the creativity, storytelling, grammar, and vocabulary. 100 winners will each be awarded scholarship worth N100, 000 as educational grant and 1,000 more winners will win Kellogg’s goodies”.
