Egbe Hails Bayelsa Utd for Reaching Aiteo Cup Final

Sports facility expert and Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle Group, Ebi Egbe, has congratulated Bayelsa United for romping into the final of this year’s Aiteo Cup after defeating Rivers United 1-0 at the Agege Stadium in Lagos at the weekend.

Egbe was also full of plaudits for Gov Duoye Diri declaring that Bayelsa sports has never had it so good.

In Egbe’s words…”Let me start by congratulating our sports loving Governor Duoye Diri for what Bayelsa is doing now in sports.

“It should not come to anybody as a surprise because Governor Diri was Bayelsa State sports Commissioner is the past and knows the sector very well,” observed Egbe who company built over ten of the best football pitches in the country at the moment.

He insisted that the progress Bayelsa is making in sports today is as a result of having a governor who understands the sector.

“At Edo 2020, Bayelsa shocked everybody by finishing third. Talking about Aiteo Cup, it might be a double for Bayelsa because the state’s female football team, Bayelsa Queens, are also in the final after defeating Rivers Angels.

Egbe stressed that It would be a historic feat which no state has performed if the state wins both the men and women’s football titles.

“Bayelsa United would be in the continent next term and we have what it takes to welcome the world to the city of love Yenagoa. We have a stadium that boasts of the kind of geotech turf at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba.

“We have a brand new airport courtesy of Diri and the hotels are there. We can’t wait to welcome African teams to Yenagoa,” gushed the sports facility expert.

He insisted that “there would be need to touch the facilities at the Samson Siasia Stadium.…but trust my governor he would do that before Bayelsa begin their continental campaign.

“On the whole, Bayelsa has never had it so good in sports and I am happy to be part of the revolution. Don’t forget in 2019, I single handedly sponsored the Bayelsa Sports summit and we are reaping the dividend of hardwork and good planning today,” concludes Egbe.
