Sonorous: Road to Success Not Smooth

Omokanye Olasunkanmi Muhamed, stage name Sonorous, is one artiste, whose confidence lies in his passion for music, unique voice texture and skills that he has developed over time.

“Paramedic”, the first single from his forthcoming album “Kanye West”, is ready. According to Sonorous, who started his professional music journey at the age of 15, the track, released to the digital music stores on July 20th, is filled with catchy and well-crafted tunes that appeal to people of all ages. Known for his versatility, sonorous dabbles into different music genres.

He is dynamic in terms of adaptability to most genres of music. His music is embedded with philosophy, soul piercing, melodic beats, hard lyrics and hooks that stay stuck in the listener’s head for good, even as his energy, rhythmic flow and undeniable flair capture you instantly. How early did you develop interest in music and how far would you say you have gone?

I started music at a tender age of 15 years old, and going so far in the Musical journey was quite demanding and courageous.

How were you able to gain acceptance from your audience?
The likes, acceptance and interest was getting he’s major break after recording my first single song titled, Invisible Destiny, in 2010.

Most times musicians sing for their lives ones, including girlfriends. Do you do the same?
The brand name Sonorous sings for my Lives ones, lovers, fans and for thecCulture

What challenges will you say musicians are facing today?
The road to success is certainly not smooth, having its ups and downs, financial assists but consistency and grace led to meeting PNAJ records

How have you been coping since the covid-19 pandemic lockdown?

The Covid-19 Pandemic lock down was unbearable but still giving it’s hard work Session

What should your fans expect from you, any exciting project coming up?

The music act is set to turn up the heat in the music industry; my fans should be expecting my First Studio Mini Album (EP) “KANYE WEST” the EP

What inspired the new album?
The whole idea of the song itself is more of a first sight emotional Expression to a loving blushing angel ,a self-emotional song.
Do you think you would make impact with your new song?

It’s a YES.

Which artiste would you say influenced your career?
I got the inspiration for my career from my dad, who is a music lover and was always playing one record or the other.

Aside music, what other things do you do?
I do Filming and sport “Football”

What kind of emotion does musical expression evoke on your fans?
My music reminds my Fans the Old Sounds of music, the melodies, rhymes, lyrics

How would you describe your type of music?
Afro-pop genre.
