APC Releases Schedule of Activities for Jigawa Legislative By-Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that the sale of forms for the forthcoming legislative by-election into Kafin Hausa State Constituency of Jigawa State will take place between 30th January and Monday 1st February, 2021.

The party’s Director of Organisation, Prof. Al-Mustapha Medaner, said this in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja.

He said, “In accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its time-table and schedule of activities for the conduct of Legislative By-Election into Kafin Hausa State Constituency of Jigawa State.”

He said the form for the by-election will be sold at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja from Saturday 30th January – Monday 1st February, 2021

The director noted that the last day for submission of completed forms and accompanying documents at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja has been fixed for Monday 1st February, 2021.

He added that screening of aspirants will take place on Tuesday February 2, 2021, while publication of claims and objections has been fixed for Wednesday 3rd February, 2021.

Medaner said screening appeals would take place on Thursday 4th February, 2020; while primary election has been fixed for Friday 5th February, 2021 and election appeal will take place on Sunday 7th February, 2021 He said the expression of interest and nomination forms cost N850,000; while female aspirants and physically challenged aspirants are to pay 50% of the prescribed fees.
