Gunmen Abduct Woman, Shoot Husband in FCT

The insecurity in the FCT assumed another dimension after a woman was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in an early morning raid on a private residence in Kagini village around Kubwa, in Bwari Area Council of Abuja on Wednesday.

Sources, which named the victim as Mrs Grace Ameh, said that during the raid, the kidnappers also shot her husband, who was also at home, in the leg.

Mr Ameh is presently hospitalised. The residence is close to the NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa. The FCT police is already investigating the abduction.

The latest abduction is on the heel of recent kidnapping in Pegi in Kuje Area Council and Tunga Maje in Gwagwalada Area Council by some unknown gunmen.
