Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi has directed civil servants on salary grade levels 1-10 in the state to resume work on May 4.
The resumption notice was contained in a statement signed by the state Head of Service, Dr. Chamberlain Nwele, and made available to journalists in Abakaliki yesterday.
The affected category of workers had been on a compulsory break as part of the state government’s precautionary measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The civil servants are reminded to apply all COVID-19 precautionary measures as directed by the government and stipulated guidelines by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),” Umahi said.
Umahi on April 28, lifted the ban on motorcycle operation and the dusk-to-dawn curfew across the state.
