The Senate now has appointed a new spokesperson in the person of Senator Ajibola Basiru , representing Osun Central .
He was yesterday named the new Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs.
President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, who made the announcement during plenary, also named the erstwhile acting spokesman of the upper legislative chamber, Senator Godiya Akwashiki as the new Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labour and Productivity. Former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Biodun Olujimi (Ekiti South) has also been named Chairman of the Senate Committee on Diaspora.
