Without a doubt, Segun Adebutu the Chairman of Petrolex Oil and Gas, is fast becoming a shining light in the business firmament.
Adebutu, a top player in the oil and gas sector, has done so well for himself and has a lot to show for his efforts. With his recently commissioned multimillion-dollar tank farm in Ibefun, Ogun State, the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa’s energy landscape with the capacity to turnover 600 million litres of petroleum products every month, he has become one of the most powerful and richest players in the industry.
Interestingly, the billionaire is not resting on his laurels, as he is building more petroleum stations; and by 2022, he is expected to commission his refinery.
Apart from his impeccable record in the sector, he ventured into entertainment, when he founded a music record label, Baseline Records, which signed on music artistes like Skales, Saeon, and others.
Also, he is passionate about service to humanity. He can’t stand the sight of his fellow humans in distress or want.
Since he founded the NGO, Oladiran Olusegun Adebutu (OOA) Foundation, in October 2016, he has splashed millions of naira on several indigent people in the state.
It was gathered that the foundation is poised to reshape and implement sustainable development activities to include poverty reduction, increased access to healthcare, quality education and create an enabling environment for gender equality, potable water and sanitation.
The shrewd businessman serves as the executive director and member of the board of Premier Lotto Nigeria Limited. He is the chairman of Bluebridge Marine and Oladiran Agro-Allied Company, Oladiran Engineering & Trade Limited.
