Inimitable Nollywood actor, Odunlade Adekola, DJ Top and the trio of Mr. Real, Idowest and Slim Case treated indigenes and guests at the 2018 Glo Miss Ojude Oba Beauty pageant held at Equity Hotel, Ijebu Ode, to a memorable night of fun, drama and razzmatazz. The show organised to round off activities for the 2018 Ojude Oba Festival was sponsored by Globacom.
The compere for the night, Odunlade Adekola spiced up the show by inviting attendees to partake in various competitions like dancing, blindfold and mime whilst giving winners cash and Globacom corporate gift items for their efforts before inviting the 13 contestants for the Miss Ojude Oba to appear in casual wears.
The beauty queens also appeared in traditional Yoruba attires and were quite a spectacle in evening wears. These appearances were interspersed with questions and answers sessions when the intelligence, composure, poise and mental acuity of the ladies were tested in addition to their proficiency in speaking Ijebu dialect of Yoruba.
19-year-old Ololade Aminat Adeiye, a 200 level student of Accounting at Olabisi Onabanjo University defeated others to pick the crown, Kofoworola Osoteku, a graduate of Environmental Education from the University of Benin came second, while Halimah Olorode of the Economics Department, Olabisi Onabanjo University came third. Beautiful Miss Nigeria International 2017, Adesewa Adejoke Adenusi made a cameo appearance and helped to decorate the new beauty queen.
