At Last, D’Tigress Arrive Lagos from USA

At last, the D’Tigress arrived Lagos from their camp in Atlanta, USA in continuation of their preparation for the 2018 FIBA Women World Cup in Spain.

The team which left Atlanta on Wednesday aboard a Turkish Airline, arrived Lagos at 7:15pm yesterday evening.

The first batch of players on that flight were led by Coach Ujoh Alexander. They include; Evelyn Akhator, Cecilia Okoye, Jasmine Nwapei, Dominic Wilson and Sarah Ogoke.

This evening, the second batch which will be led by Coach Otis Hughley will touch down in Lagos same time aboard the Turkish Airline flight.

This batch will be made up of Aisha Mohammed, Ezinne Kalu, Atonye Nyingifa, Elo Edeferioka, Imovbioh Sarah and Promise Amukamara.

The trio of Nkem Akaraiwe, Nkechi Akashili and Uju Ugoka will join the squad today for their first training session holding at the Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

Team Captain, Adaora Elonu, who currently got signed by WNBA side, Atlanta Dreams will join the team at a later date.

Flight cancelations have kept the players at the Atlanta camp till now. They were scheduled to return last weekend and open the business of preparing in the Lagos this past Monday.
